Education

One of the Icelandic Seal Center’s goals is to conduce towards comprehensive education about seals around Iceland. At our exhibiton you will learn about:

• Seals and their closest environment
• Perquisite, sealery and the utilisation of seal products in a historical contest.
• Folktales evolving seals
• Reverent Sigurður Norland from Hindisvík, who was a pioneer in the preservation of seals around Vatnsnes peninsula

Art

Every year the center offers ambitious art exhibitions from both well known and less known artists. The exhibitions, which showcase both modern and traditional art, all share the subject of Icelandic nature and landscapes in one way or another.
