Guest statistics for July show an 86% increase in Icelandic tourists here at the Seal Center since last year. This is very pleasing since the numbers in June had shown a 5% decline in Icelandic tourists since 2008. The total increase of Icelandic tourists as of this year is 36%, and 1. August a total of 884 Icelanders had visited us.

Foreign tourists continue to multiply and the numbers for June show an increase of 53% since last year. The total increase of foreign tourists as of the year is 66%, and 1. August a total of 1553 foreign visitors came.

The total increase in visits to the Icelandic Seal Center is as of the year 54%, and the total number of visitors the 1. August was 3746.
